My name is Claire Homewood, I’m a psychotherapist, living and working in Greater Manchester. I provide a combination approach of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Person Centred Counselling, tailored to meet your needs.
After gaining a Degree in Psychology in 1998, I qualified as a Person Centred Counsellor in 2001. I undertook further training, qualifying as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in 2014. I set up The Therapy Line in 2016 with the aim of improving access to therapy and offering therapy in a convenient and cost effective way.
To date I have over 24 years experience working with people therapeutically, both individually and in group settings. I have worked predominantly in the NHS and also for charitable organisations and private companies. I continue to work part time within IAPT services, providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to patients within the NHS. I keep up to date with training and engage with regular professional supervision, enabling me to utilise some of the latest advancements and techniques. In 2022 I undertook an intensive training and supervision programme and am now certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

- Certificate in Trauma Focused Cognitive Therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Certified Practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming
- Certificate in Motivational Interviewing
In addition, I am a qualified group worker and trainer, having developed and delivered training related to mental health and addiction to staff and patients within the NHS, Armed Forces and community organisations.

I abide by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) professional and ethical codes of conduct and have been a fully accredited member as a Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapist since March 2016.
